Eskom’s executives were honoured on Thursday evening for their role in keeping the lights on and turning the power utility around. The Black Business Council and the GUMA Group described the work done by the Eskom leadership and its workforce as a testament that the country can overcome any obstacles. The utility was honoured with the African Achiever Award 2025. Delivering the keynote address at the award ceremony, Electricity Minister Dr Kgosientsho Ramokgopa applauded Eskom’s leadership and their resilience.
