On the sidelines of the G20, the Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition has met with the automotive industry to start implementation of the Auto Pact. The Auto Pact is a partnership between the Southern African Customs Union and countries in the North, Egypt and Algeria with geared towards growing the automotive industry. The meeting focused on the industry’s current challneges and future opportunities as global trend in vehicle technology and trade are rapidly evolving.
