
There is a need for G20 countries to address how Africa’s critical minerals are managed, to move away from a model where resources are extracted, leaving only poverty on the continent. This is among the recommendations of the Africa Panel of Experts, put together by Finance Minister, Enoch Godongwana, to propose solutions for the significant debt crisis affecting numerous African nations and advance the continent’s developmental interests within the G20 framework. The panel handed over a report to President Cyril Ramaphosa in Johannesburg, ahead of this weekend’s leaders summit
