
The ANC has rejected NEC member, Senzo Mchunu’s request to step aside from party duties. According to a statement from the party, the National Executive Committee discussed the circumstances surrounding Mchunu and agreed that that he should continue to perform his organisational tasks while on special leave from his Cabinet responsibilities. The party applies the step aside rule, once a member is charged by the court of law. Mchunu is accused of interfering in the disbandment of the political killings task team. His spokesperson, Sthembiso Mshengu further confirmed to the SABC that Mchunu presented himself before the party’s integrity commission and is requested to do so after he presents himself before the Madlanga Commission…
