
Consumer analysts believe that this year’s Black Friday should see a healthy appetite for purchases, particularly of discounted big-ticket items.
This, as the consumer is enjoying a lower inflation environment and another cut in interest rates from the Reserve Bank this week, amounting to a 1.5 percentage point cut in rates since the beginning of the rate-cutting cycle.
But as consumers spend their hard-earned and limited funds, they’re also warned to be vigilant as scammers are out to take advantage of the shopping season.
