
The Global Council on Inequality, Aids and Pandemics in its first-ever report is sounding the alarm on rising levels of global inequality, which poses a threat to the scale and impact of pandemics. The council notes that the high debt and budget constraints facing low-income countries make it impossible to allocate more funding and resources to healthcare priorities.
