
Tanzania’s incumbent president Samia Suluhu Hassan has been sworn in for her second term – despite a disputed election last week. The formal event was held at a military base in the capital Dodoma, and it comes after claims of the deaths of hundreds of opposition supporters in protests that swept Tanzania after the vote.
